Tomorrow's Agriculture Starts Today
Acromore was founded on a potato farm in North Wales to develop organic and sustainable biorational plant tonics and biopesticides with a path planned for full organic pesticide certification. With a burgeoning global population new technologies are required to protect global food security and the environment.
We Made
a Promise
At COP26, the world united to slow climate change — and we made a commitment to accelerate it.
Inspired by the urgency of the moment, we intensified our research and field trials to bring this game-changing technology to market as quickly and responsibly as possible.
Once our systemic trials are complete and we demonstrate that full plant protection can be achieved with a single application, farmers will no longer need multiple rounds of high-carbon spraying. This shift has the potential to dramatically reduce on-farm emissions, cut fuel consumption, and minimise machinery use.
Combined with improved crop performance and higher yields, the result is a powerful, practical solution that advances both sustainability and agricultural productivity.
What we
develop
We are currently developing products for:
Xylella & Olive Leaf Spot
Xylella Fastidiosa and Olive leaf spot caused by Venturia Oleaginea.
Both are having devastating effects on trees in Puglia in southern Italy and also now showing in Spain, Portugal, Greece and the Americas.
'Phytopthora Infestans' infects potato and tomato crops. we have tested on the current strain 'dark green 37_A2' with excellent results
Downy Mildew
'Plasmopara ' affects grapevines, brassicas, columbine, Impatiens, lettuces, onions, peas, pansies, tobacco plants
Powdery Mildew
affects cucurbits (squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, melons), nightshades (tomatoes, eggplants, peppers), roses, and legumes (beans, peas)
Botrytis
'Botrytis cinerea' affects grapes,
strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, beans, cucumber,
courgettes, lettuce and tomatoes.
