Acromore Srl, the emerging agritech company developing next-generation organic biopesticide solutions, is proud to announce an official partnership with AMO Puglia (Associazione Millenari di Olivi) and Alberami, Srl, establishing a jointly supervised registered test site within the AMO Preservation Zone in Ostuni to conduct advanced field trials of Mycoferrin, Acromore’s proprietary biostimulant pesticide and plant-health innovation.

This collaboration brings together three organisations deeply committed to protecting Puglia’s agricultural heritage—particularly the monumental olive trees of Ostuni, many of which are centuries or millennia old and remain culturally, economically, and ecologically significant.

Under this agreement, Acromore will conduct structured and monitored trials on Mycoferrin’s efficacy against key threats such as Xylella fastidiosa and Olive Leaf Spot (Venturia oleaginea). Testing will follow AMO Puglia’s strict preservation standards and Alberami’s on-ground agronomic supervision to ensure scientific integrity and full traceability.

A Partnership Rooted in Preservation and Innovation

“This partnership represents an important milestone for Acromore,” said Marc Moore-Smith, Founder & CEO. “AMO Puglia and Alberami are respected leaders in safeguarding Puglia’s iconic olive and agricultural landscapes. To be trusted with trials inside the AMO Preservation Zone is both an honour and a responsibility. Mycoferrin was designed to be non-toxic, non-bioaccumulative, and gentle on ecosystems—precisely the type of solution required to protect these irreplaceable trees.”

AMO Puglia’s President Paul Berni added: “Our mission has always been to protect the heritage of Puglia’s monumental olive trees while promoting a sustainable future for farmers and the land. Acromore’s approach aligns strongly with that mission, and we look forward to supporting this important research.”

Alberami, serving as the field-trial coordination partner, will oversee application, monitoring, and data collection throughout the testing period.

About the Mycoferrin Project

Mycoferrin is Acromore’s novel biostimulant formulation currently undergoing laboratory and field evaluation. It is designed to offer strong plant-health benefits while remaining:

  • Non-toxic to insects, aquatic life, and pollinators

  • Non-bioaccumulative, ensuring safe environmental integration

  • Vegan and organically certifiable for home & garden and professional use

  • Compatible with regenerative agriculture and low-impact farming systems

The partnership with AMO Puglia marks the first officially recognised trial of Mycoferrin within a monumental-tree preservation zone.

A Shared Commitment to Puglia’s Future

Together, Acromore, AMO Puglia, and Alberami are pioneering a new model of collaboration between innovation, tradition, and landscape protection. Their combined efforts aim not only to safeguard Ostuni’s ancient olive trees, but also to contribute meaningful scientific data toward sustainable solutions for growers across the Mediterranean.
